Rooted & Rising’s state-licensed Growing Tree Children's Center is dedicated to providing a well-rounded, age-appropriate early childhood education experience for all children. Our play-based, child-centered approach and safe, nurturing environment has always been at the core of what we offer families and their children.
Located within Rooted & Rising’s facilities at the corner of 40th and Lisbon in Milwaukee’s Washington Park neighborhood, the Growing Tree provides 1st shift child care for kids between 6 weeks and 12 years. We accept private pay and Wisconsin Shares from families from all zip codes.
As a supportive agency, we offer low rates because we focus on supporting families, not profit. We’re committed to providing high-quality care that’s affordable and accessible to all.

At The Growing Tree, we believe every child’s early years are magical, and we've made it our mission to nurture that magic from the very beginning. That's why we're excited to announce our focused commitment to Early Childhood Education for children ages 0-5!
We've always cherished the little giggles, tiny footsteps, and big firsts. Now, we're leaning all the way in; developing playful, purposeful programs that support every stage of early development, from curious infants to confident kindergarteners.
But don’t worry! Our connection with older kiddos isn’t going anywhere! 🎒✨
We’re still keeping the fun alive for our 6+ crowd with our Summer Camp Adventures designed to give school-age kids a break from the books and a summer full of discovery, creativity, and friendships.
Why the Shift?
Because the early years matter. Science backs it, and our hearts do too. The first five years lay the foundation for everything ahead socially, emotionally, cognitively. By dedicating ourselves to ECE, we’re deepening our impact where it counts most.
Plus, by offering a seasonal summer camp, we’re able to give older children experiences that are packed with outdoor fun, themed weeks, hands-on projects, and endless memories without losing sight of our core mission.
